All of our athletes train together at the beginning of practice. This ensures that all of the main fundamental skills and movements are achieved. The age of the Athlete will determine the length of their practice.

MTA track and field athletes will learn fundamental athletic skills and techniques during training, focusing on various disciplines such as Sprinting, Jumping, and Middle-Distance running. They will develop essential skills like proper running form, sprint starts, and relay handoffs, along with basic techniques for Long Jump, and Triple Jump. Training will also emphasize building balance, strength, endurance, and flexibility, as well as understanding the rules and strategies specific to their chosen events. Additionally, athletes will acquire a foundational knowledge of sportsmanship, teamwork, and the importance of dedication and discipline in their pursuit of success in track and field.

A competitive track and field athlete will further refine and enhance their specialized skills and techniques through rigorous training, focusing on their chosen events with precision and detail. Training will encompass advanced elements of sprinting, jumping, or distance running, including fine-tuning race strategies, perfecting form, and developing peak performance capabilities. They will work extensively on strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and recovery techniques, striving for peak physical fitness. Competitive athletes will also gain in-depth knowledge of their events' rules, regulations, and competition strategies, while continuing to foster mental resilience, sportsmanship, and the drive to excel in their field.
An AO track and field athlete will undergo a comprehensive introduction to the sport, learning the basics of various disciplines such as Sprinting, Jumping, and Middle-Distance running. Training will prioritize fundamental skills like running mechanics, starting techniques, and basic event-specific movements, providing a solid foundation for future development. Athletes will also begin to understand the importance of conditioning, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Coaches emphasize individual growth, fostering a passion for track and field, and instilling discipline and commitment, enabling athletes to discover their strengths and preferences within the sport.

Training sessions will focus on mastering techniques, enhancing speed, endurance, developing race strategies tailored to Athlete's strengths and goals. High levels of dedication will be required to maintain peak physical fitness through rigorous strength and conditioning programs, injury prevention measures, and recovery protocols. Athletes will also delve deeper into the rules and strategies of their events, engage in intense competition, and learn to manage the mental aspects of high-pressure situations. Our coaches play a critical role in helping athletes hone their talent, develop a strong work ethic, and foster a commitment to excellence both on and off the track.
